Twisted Curve

Twisted Curve

Swerving, to avoid the hit,
Gripping, what still lies within
Fingers crushing, the feeling there
Daring not to let go
Afraid that it might leave

A heart racing in the dark
Sharp, piercing, cold on my skin
Burning, to the unknown
Gripping with faith, that it is true
Holding steadfast
To something that is not really there.

Screaming out into the void
Sliding, feeling things lose control
A deep breath, a twist within soul
Starting blinding into the night
As tears leak into the hole
where my heart once was.

(Wrote in October 27, 2009, It is fitting on how I feel at times, right now regarding the Cowboy.)
